5 Ways To Deal With Being Locked Out

1. Look Thoroughly For Your Keys

Are you completely sure that you have lost your keys? My first advice to you would be to thoroughly search for your keys through your bag, your pockets, and your car. Also, think about the last place where you have seen your keys, were the last situation that you definitely know you had them on you, and seriously start looking for your keys. If you happen to conclude that there is no place that you can find your keys, then you should take that next step.

2. Call Someone With A Spare Key

Is there anyone who you might call and ask for their spear key to your home? Perhaps your landlord has the key, or your relative/friend/neighbor/partner/family member. If there is anyone you can call, make sure that you do so in order to get back in your home. Also, perhaps a spear keys lying somewhere under the doormat or next to the plant pot – make sure you check the regular places where a spear key could be and use the spare key to get in.

3. Stay With Someone

Let’s say someone has a spear key but you cannot reach them immediately, or that it is too late to call a locksmith then you should consider staying with someone. There is probably a friend or colleague that would take you in for the night, and you could stay with them until you reach the person with the spear key, or if it is too late to call a locksmith to help you.

4. Call A Locksmith

If you are absolutely sure no one has a spare key to your home and that nothing can be done in order to get in, then you should call a locksmith. Some people are afraid that the locksmith will drill a hole through their lock in order to get in, and while this might be true, it’s also true that are certified and professional locksmith will rarely have the need to drill a hole in a lock, since they have the tools and the expertise necessary to get you in without damaging the lock, or drilling a hole.

5. Get Another Way To Get In

Perhaps you have a spare set of keys in your home, and do you are athletic enough to get through the back window. In that case perhaps you should consider finding another way to get into your home, but if it is too late, perhaps some of the neighbors will suspect that you are a burglar or thief, so be prepared for something like that too.
